Ore (sassion) can be extracted on planet sassion (palham system) only (well, it could be found in combat too, but extracting is easier)
Or, if you feel rich, you can buy it from sales market

Hi Faullen:
There will be times when you have to halt a mission chain due to being too low level or underequipped.
Thats normal and you'll see that on most NPCs. Just go elsewhere for a few levels.
As for Winston, you need to upgrade reactors/cargoholds till you hit 65 capacity.
Go work on the Gunny or Tomas quests. There's perhaps a dozen NPC within a couple of jumps from Feris to
meet and engage.
Plus, you have'nt broken the mission chain, you can resume it just by talking to Winston again (when your ready).
Best thing is to read the beginners guides (left hand tab) - and then carefully read the mission text.
As for Carole's courier mission: you have to get 50 speciality ores. You can find planet Sassion, there will be an ORSA site
there, you can drop a couple resource extactors there and get that in a couple hours. OR you can just put
a contract up on the Galactic Buyers Market. When you get the ore, load it into your hold and go back to
Carole to complete the mission. GBM might be the best route because you may be too low level to operate
personal extractors at this time, but you definitely want to explore the ORSA sites and how extractors work,
they are a mainstay of resource acquisition.

Re: Faullen Saying Hi
That is an ore that's mined from the Planet Sassion using Harvesters. CE is a Huge game with a lots of depth and breadth. There is no single set of guides that will cover the entire game. Take your time and ask when confused or lost of just looking for info. There are Primers for most of the games 'professions' here in the forums, but with over 7,000 in game items, 755 types of secondary loot and 668 Resources there is no guide that's going to tell you where to find them all.
For that courier mission you will need a personal harvester and to locate a resource of Sassion Ore on Sassion (in Palham) through the ORSA Office. Or you could place a G.B.M up for the ore, but its likely you'd pay more that way than mining it-yourself.
There are a number of personal extractors currently on the Player Emporium. (top left in game Tab)
Generally players take courier missions when they know they either have the items or can get it easily.

Re: Faullen Saying Hi
Hello Capt Faullen, welcome to CE.
For the Ore (Sassion) as well as the rest of Carole's chain you go with the appropriate extractor to the planet named in the mission (in this case Sassion in the Palham system), dock to Sassion, enter the Sassion Resource office on the promenade list, making sure you have enough survey skill to change the listing on the far right of the listed resources from a number (skill needed) to activate. the extractor will collect the Ore for you, when it has gathered enough go back to it and either pull the extractor up (which sends the resource directly to the Commercial Storage on that promenade) or you can use the transfer option which does the same thing but leaves the extractor in place to gather more of that Ore which you can come back for later.
Make sure to pick the extractor up before the end of day 0 so that the resource is not taken by the O.R.S.A office in the process or removing the extractor for you.

I have the same questionFaullen wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 9:14 pm Is there a thread about NPC missions, or game snags somewhere I seem to keep stumbling over stuff the EVERYBODY ELSE knows but it is not explained anywhere.
Mission Details :
Return to Carole Charmaine with 50 Ore (Sassion).
I take the mission, it's a courier mission but there is nothing there to pick up, it's not an asteroid so I can't ship mine it. What am I supposed to do here?

Azrael van Siele,
Looks like you're level 17 in game, but have not collected your Level Five or Level Ten rewards. The level 10 rewards include a full set of Personal Extractors to use on Planet 'Resource Offices' like that on Sassion. You can collect your rewards from the bottom left-hand pull out tab (CE guides) and look for 'Level 5 & 10 Rewards'.
Collect both sets of rewards and go to Sassion.
