I haven't played this game very long, obviously, but I like it more than most. Many years ago I started developing a game, myself. I was taking the best features from several of my favorite games and rolling them into one. Diverse in-game occupations, expandable economies, NPC interactions with missions based on experience, building your own ship, a banking and stock market system, etc. There were a few differences, of course. More for 'color' than anything else. I just never got it out of the logic tree phase. I'm glad someone else had the same idea and could put it into action.
Methinks I've found my game 'home'.
