Hi Viewers, I'm Mike Fingal bringing you all the news from around the galaxies right here, right now. Shortly we will be bringing you a report from Hebid, where it appears the civilians are having problems with Farguson bugs. But first, over to Ayrkuhl Platini for his next exciting instalment of, Inside the Cockpit.

Thanks Mike.So here we are folks, on Welling for the Fornum 2000. On the way over here I was lucky enough to be able to ride in the personnel transporter in the teams convoy with Scott and his crew. This consists of a luxury passenger liner, a Trojan Hauler responsible, for transporting the Victorius, and a Mamba escort ship. I had a word with Scott, and although Arty had warned me that he doesn't usually like to be disturbed, he was willing to converse in small amounts.

Scott, nice ship, nice convoy, this is the life of luxury isn't it.

It is that champ. The style isn't really important, though the sight of the convoy is very intimidating to our opposition. The relaxed environment onboard allows to me to remain focussed, I know everything else is under control.

I'll leave you to it then. It was a simple exchange but he knows what he needs to do.

We are about an hour from the green flag and there is a flurry of activity in the pits right now.
Despite being so close to race time, there is a surprising level of calmness throughout the garage. The Victorious is on the line, and after a solid qualifying run yesterday, Scott lines up in pole position. Scott is sat calmly on the edge of pitwall, surrounded by the invisible aura of confidence that seems to follow him everywhere he goes. Arty and Dom are applying the final tweaks to the craft, and Betrandt is in the garage running telementary and simulations. The race itself will only last around 20 minutes and will be a fast and frantic procession of high speed carnage. I spoke to Scott earlier and he seemed as focussed as always.

Good qualifying yesterday, any plans for the race?

Start well, fire main rear deflectors, then concentrate for the first few circuits, no mistakes.

This Welling course is famous for the instability of the wave projection due to the unpredictable conditions, how do you go about coping with that?

The sudden loss of power is part and parcel of racing, it is the same for everyone though, and how you react when it occurs is what makes champions.

But that was then, and this is now, Scott has just gone into the cockpit, and the engines and wave gens are being fired up, time to retreat to the garage.........this is gonna be a good one.

Thanks Ayrkuhl. Well viewers, we will be bringing you the full race commentary in the next exciting episode of Inside the Cockpit so be sure to tune in for that. And now over to Hebid where everyone is feeling the bite.
