Musings of a Captain

Post by Elkhorn »

As Captain Elkhorn sat in the cockpit of the Valiant Carrier, he couldn't help but reflect on his life as an asteroid miner. The slow and methodical process of scanning an asteroid, using laser beams to break away valuable resources, and then tractoring them aboard left plenty of time for him to contemplate his existence. Despite the tedious nature of the work, the rewards were good - the ore he collected was sold to the lucrative Galactic Buyers Market.

Although his cash balance was sometimes low, he had managed to establish two thriving settlements in the galaxies of Sphere and Anvil. Recently, he had even constructed a new Star Base in the Krull system of Furnace, marking a significant accomplishment in his mining career.

As he gazed out at the endless expanse of space, Captain Elkhorn couldn't help but think about the possibilities that lay beyond the known galaxies of Sphere, Verec-Per, Furnace, and Anvil. The Expanse, the only galaxy known to harbor alien races, was a constant source of fascination and intrigue.

But for now, he was content to continue his work as an asteroid miner, relying on his trusty ship and snarky A.I. to navigate through the asteroid belts and collect valuable resources. As he prepared for his next mining mission, Captain Elkhorn couldn't help but wonder what other adventures awaited him in the vast reaches of space.
