Aren't AI ships supposed to be made out of metal? How comes the only thing missing from salvaging them is the AI- Metal? How about somebody adds it to the salvage list?

Its all about RNG Besides how do you know they have metal ships ^^

Actually, According to my handy-dandy list of Ai Salvaging up to Salvage level 6 on all sections. I cannot find AI - Metal either....

Perhaps an oversight?

Maxxx, they do contain metal when you shoot them so...

I wondered perhaps if there was something adrift in the way the AI loot was working. The AI vessels are all loot class 8 out of 22 class types, they have their own pool of specialised loot then a fallback on normal system based loot. So according to the laws of code and common sense they SHOULD appear.

I spent 10 mins killing AI vessels over in the Kell expanse and found several instances then got the following loot screen, thought I'd snag it to bring this one to a close
As a reminder, loot in the class types is specific, but each loot box has an equal chance to roll from the normal fall back common loot.

Erm, Coops, I was talking about salvage, not combat loot.

To make up for being a bit of a Dunce, I have added AI metal along with two of the other AI elements to 'Salvage'.
