The stranger in red

It was the closing of November on an icy world not far and a mysterious stranger walked into a bar.
He was to too sly to be young, too spry to be old and he had in his pocket much silver and gold.
He had been on a great journey and had a greater one ahead, he was unlikely to return before he was dead.
The silver and gold weighed heavy in his mind, as he had no descendants for whom to leave it behind.
Then suddenly a smile crossed his face, for the month after this waning November, he would ensure they would all remember.
Sidewinder Fang is coming to town.
