Naristro - Strange U Turn

Post by Gus Givens »

This week has seen some strange behaviour from the Naristro. Up till now they have been happy to allow humanity in the form of the Coalition to wage war (as it seems) on the Javorans. They are after all a very warlike race and little seems to get through to them other than laser fire.

But when it comes to humans inhabiting the Expanse the Naristro have made it very clear they were not happy with this idea. That is till 'this week'. A high level meeting between the Naristro and Coalition councils seems to have added a new twist to the Naristro point of view.

It seems that there are 'certain items' that Human captains have been picking up from combat loot, exploration and mining that the Naristro 'want back'.

At this time we cant tell if the items they want back actually ARE Naristro in design or in fact Javoran, but the Naristro are willing to trade for them and here's the twist. They have set up NPC's throughout the Expanse Galaxy on Naristro controlled planets that will trade 'sets' of the items for what the coalition are calling 'Loyalty Cubes'.
The information on these cubes and their uses is somewhat vague, but if we are to believe the coalition council, a deal was struck that captains wishing to 'inhabit' the Expanse will need at the time of purchasing an Expanse Settlement License to have a certain amount of Naristro Loyalty Cubes in their possession.

Whilst the coalition has been dealing with the Naristro in meetings they have also been busy looking into these new items that the Naristro want back so badly. They have set up a scientific office on Lilubode in Undadarnya. A coalition fund has been set up and captains are being asked to consider handing in the items to the coalition scientists for review.

So on one hand the Naristro seem to be softening their approach to human inhabitation of the Expanse, and on the other it seems the Coalition is beginning act as if it is sensing some kind of deception. The plot thickens.
