Hello One and All,
Can someone let me know how one goes about getting a Level 2 Certification in Refining.
I am currently getting the following message in the Exile Foundry:
WARNING | Level 2 Certification in REFINING is required to continue Pattern Research | WARNING
I do not see any info on certificates in CEDR or on the Wiki pages.
Thanks -- SpaceBucks

And if not, then refine a bit more, with a higher skill you are allowed to place more AMR.
Re: Level 2 Certification -- Refining
I don't think you are answering SpaceBuck's question.
I think he has done his first 50 pattens in the Exile Forge.
Coops said there would be a certificate to do more....

There's a post in Core-Exiles FAQ. It explains what Certificates are and were they can be used for.
The FAQ System can be found in the bottom left sidebar menu.

You can buy Certificates at Halo Certification.

And here's a related FAQ that might help if you need to know more about the required Superior Head Implant and how to get it, although it doesn't list the specific NPCs:

"Certificates are required to pilot Player Made Ships. Each ship has a list of prerequisites these must be met before the ship can be flown."
hmmm
don't think I'd trust that info...and yes space bucks is talking about the foundry as mropso said...sadly I have no idea as mining instantly puts me to sleep. but I'd think someone else out there has reached 50 patterns?

Re: Level 2 Certification -- Refining
A big thank you to all who sounded off to my post. I can see by all the differing replies that there is a bona fide reason why one can be confused by the 50-pattern Exile Foundry rule at the moment. Hopefully the great and all powerful Dev can chime in and clear things up, so that us little people can know.
Coops, if you are listening, can you help us wee-folk out a little bit?
Thanks -- SpaceBucks
P.S. I am level 49 without a superior head implant, so the Halo store cannot help. Also, to what level would one need to raise refining to continue research at the Exile Foundry? I still have a considerable amount of IP, U.A.s and nano metals stored.
Would I need to give up a Foundry formula to gain another?

Re: Level 2 Certification -- Refining
The Refining Certificate becomes available at level 60, so it sounds like you need to focus on raising your experience.
Of course this is only stopping you from adding certificates right? Not earning the points you need to learn them. So you will have a nice stockpile to catch up on shortly after you hit L60.
fyi, the hours needed for each certificate level is listed in the Halo store. First you learn level 1, then you can immediately learn level 2 or save it for later.

My stock pile will be huge by 60th level, so I am sure I will need to go to level 2 in REFINING right away.
Big thumbs up!
