Salvage Link in Loot window
Really simple idea. When you are looting from destroying a ship, have a wreck salvage icon next to the repair one so you can go and salvage right after you loot.
Re: Salvage Link in Loot window
And skip spending fuel on scanning wrecks?
Sure, it makes sense but it breaks balance.

Re: Salvage Link in Loot window
It would still function like regular wreck salvage. Same as the link for it in the repair window.

: )
This can be/has been done already. There is a salvage icon on the repair screen. So just go to repair, then salvage. You'll still spend the one fuel unit needed to activate the scan, as well as the 2 units per pass.

There is already a Targeting Beacon that locks wrecks so only you can find them. (There is also a guild targeting beacon.)
An alternative to this is have an alternative to the Wide Spectrum Scanner units.
Narrow Spectrum Scanner T1
+6 Hours / +1 scan hits
This unit collapses the player ship's scanning frequencies when scanning for salvage. While it dramatically increases the wreck age range, it ONLY reports hits with a Player or Guild Targeting Beacon. Wrecks without a Targeting Beacon are not reported. This scans one location within a system.
Narrow Spectrum Scanner T2
+8 Hours / +2 scan hits
This unit collapses the player ship's scanning frequencies when scanning for salvage. While it dramatically increases the wreck age range, it ONLY reports hits with a Player or Guild Targeting Beacon. Wrecks without a Targeting Beacon are not reported. This scans all locations within a system.
Otherwise, Mastalanak, if I remember correctly, a salvage scanner without a Wide Spectrum unit only shows your wrecks, and only in the current location. If you equip a basic salvage scanner, you can run a few combats, then go to salvage and clean them up. An Agro Salvage Scanner 1 will only show you one wreck at a time, but you can get them as long as you clean them within two hours. If you are looking for a specific ship, use a Scan Limit Expander so you get more hits without going further back in time.
