4thth Competition for this festive 10th anniversary Party.

And another simple one, anyone can enter, but you do need to put your mind to this one a little...

2015 has still got a lot more to offer to Core-Exiles and one thing that will be released is Star bases. Similar in some respects to Settlements but on a much larger more expensive scale. But as players what does this mean to you?

Well this competition is for entries to tell us what YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE added or enabled for star bases. You may or may not be in a guild that's been building one, or you may only be a new player in their first week of play. But all the same, your opinion counts. So let us know what YOU would like to see added when star bases are released.

RULES

Production and Refinary to convert resources into diffrent kind used into diffrent complex projects .
owner could setup npc stores to select resources which he can buy at given prise

ORSA with a difference.
SBs can select there own types of resources, you could either choose metals only, gases only, minerals only, or two combos of each. Sometimes you don't want flora at all. :)
Just looking at it differently.

Enhanced research- able to exclude or direct toward a specific equipment enhancement, at a cost obviously.

Enhanced Equipment production- build equipment with 2nd stat, ie higher up Tesla generators (not necessarily increased cargo, but at least maintain cargo enhancement). Maybe some higher reactors with weapon/damage benifit.

Stackable (ie +5%) Glesco bonus, Refinery Bonus

A facility to transfer half the fuel on your ship to the nearest fuel depot one per day.

The ability to carry a wider range of services than a settlement.

A Team Mech Arena, there would be five teams each of which could have up to five player captains team mechs would be built at the starbase and although similar to normal arena mechs would only be built and stored on the SB. A Captain would visit the Starbase and sign up to a Team for a season this would give him access to the team mech factory where he could build his team mechs. There would be local matches which would work like the current arenas where you deploy your mechs and they would fight against any mech from another team, there would also be international matches where the best teams from each Starbase would fight each other.

I'm simple, I'd love it if remote guild offices could be placed on Star Bases.

ORSA on a Starbase does not make much sense to me. However a similar sort of thing to Mine the comets that occur in the system might be good. Machines to be built to capture the comet, other machines to extract certain ores and certificates to improve the efficiency of each of these. The owners of the starbase could receive a cut of any ore that is mined.

Well since it's going to be in space...how about a combat bonus to armor/hull/damage for yourself or your guild when you hunt down ships in that area of your SB?

It would affect the Law Level which over time slowly decreases.

Crews/staff can be assigned to patrol your SB both on the base and the surrounding area of space and bring in bounties/loot.
Arming those patrols would require combat gear like pulse rifles and krell body armour that you find from ship to ship combat.
More advanced game mechanics could see crew/staff pilot your own ships from the hangar that are collecting dust and do something with it like go mine on their own or salvage or even combat.

Or instead just arm your SB like a ship with reactors/shields/scanners/guns and let it attack random enemy ships that pass through and it collects loot/credits for you.



Good idea or bad?
There's plenty of new combat loot you could potentially use to equip security/technicians/soldiers.

The ability to (at a cost) break player made ships into the modules they were made from.

Casinos. I'm not savvy enough to vote for any of the functional options, though I love some of the ideas presented. But in the spirit of the festival, and the mini-games with the party droids, it would be a hoot to have mini-game hubs or some kind of interactive game play for captains putting in at the starport after a long haul.
