My God It's Full of Stars!

Unless you have been stuck on a garbage scow or on a tour of duty in the Expanse you cant have missed the fact that those wacky Gal-Fed scientists have done it again! Not happy with finding a Gate to an alien Universe now they have located jump gate paths that join up The forge and Anvil Galaxies!

Seems this new Galaxy is called Verec-Per. Apparently 'Per' in the Vericians language means Galaxy and some confusion was had for some time until the universal translators figured it out. It seems that the Verec Galaxy was in fact once part of the Glorious Core territories. It seems that when the Core annexed all our systems and Galaxies some 500 years ago they removed all reference from the Jump gates and left each Galaxy essentially stranded.

Our Gal-Fed boffins and hard working techs managed to download all the Gate data and have already published an unofficial Stellar Map. This will no doubt come as a major shock to the inhabitants of the backwater Bolus and Belus systems.

As we reported earlier this week the Trade corporations were already on hand to jump through the gate almost before a small Gal-Fed battle group was able to finish transitioning the Gate network.

We are trying our best to glean what we can about the Verecian's but they are a tight lipped bunch. It seems that when they were separated from their trade and support routes from the core they fell into a close to anarchy state. This existed for 100s of years and only in the last 50 years or more have they actually started to make peace with each other and begin to form trade and military alliances.

From Gal-Feds perspective they have classified the systems of Verec-Per to be contested and for the time being that is unlikely to change. Whilst the Verecian inhabitants recognises the Gal-Fed flag they show no allegiance to it.
