Hi, I'm Mike Fingal reporting all the galactic news thats happening right here, right now..

Main stories coming up later, but first over to the sports news with our reporter on the spot...Bex Gregory...

Thanks Mike, yes, we're here in the Descarte system as the teams and riders prepare for this years Wild Warp Wave Championship. For those new to the sport, the Descarte system is unique as it is the only place in the known galaxies where the jump gate nexus has had any effect on the surrounding space. According to scientists, there is a small rift in the time space continuum, caused by the construction of the gate, and as ships travel through the gate they cause ripples and waves to be made on the fabric of space. It is these 'waves' that the wave riders surf and the W.W.W. Championship is always held at this time of solar year to coincide with the harvest seasons on Messor and Daphine. The bigger the hauler and freighter that passes through the gate, the greater and larger the wave, and the large haulage companies have been reported as saying that they expect bumper harvests this year, so big things are expected during this championship.

Earlier this week, the reigning champion Scott 'Winner' Killane, was involved in an almost fatal accident during training. He escaped unscathed but his ship was destroyed in the accident and it's unknown if he will be able to build a ship in time to defend his title.

Thats all from Descarte, Bex Gregory reporting for ISN, back to you in the studio Mike..

Thanks for that report Bex..and now onto lighter news and a story of an eden alligator being rescued from a tree....
