The alien derelict is generally a long way into Expanse.
I've been told the derelict stays in one spot until someone salvages it. That can be a very long time, as there aren't many active players wandering around there, much less stopping at every system to look.
I'm 16 systems into Expanse, which means there is a long way to go. But it has taken me months to get that far. In all that time, I've seen the alien derelict 3 times - one of those was the day after I salvaged it, so it respawned close.
Would it be possible to have the derelict automatically respawn after a certain length of time in one spot? Mostly it would still be far in, just because of the number of systems. That would still be a big help, and make it worth while for me to check every system daily.
This isn't relevant to many people, but I think it would be a big benefit to those of us drilling our way in.
