Remove Unwanted schematics

Make a suggestion & let the community sound it out. Almost all the best activities in game came initially from a player suggestion!

Remove Unwanted schematics

The number of Bob schematic drops is becoming awkward. So far I have dozens of these, and most are not as good as what I have. The schematics I've bought and use are getting buried in the pile. It's not a real problem yet, but after a year of Bob drops I think it will become a usability issue.

Would it be possible to either be able to delete schematics from our database, or have some checkmark to hide them from the list? Crafting one deletes the schematic; maybe this could be another way to trigger the deletion

Note: This is not an objection to the Bob drops! They are a great idea. They are interesting to check and there are some gems in there. I've found one terrific weapon, and it got even better with research.

Anyone else for this ? I can certainly add a 'Delete' one option. Put digital pend to paper and let us know what you think folks...

I can see Albatross's point of view on this, indeed in a years time, you would have a lot of schematics that you will never use yourself unless you find a player that wants the item.

From that perspective, it would be nice not to see all of them anymore, however as you never know, you might be able to make someone else happy with the item it can be crafted, I would personally never delete them.

Delete would be a nice option, but as I said, I will most likely not use that function myself.

I much rather have something like we have on the ship Store, where you can search, sort etc.

Sorting thru them I see many that I would neither build nor offer as there are similar items better specced in there. But deletion is kinda final. Perhaps an archive function that moves it to a storage folder leaving 'active' schems uncluttered.

Maybe adding a filtering system like the one found in the ships store: misc items could work. Schems can be filtered by level with the most relevant ones compared to the player's level showing at the top. So by default schemes within 3 levels of a player will always show up. Options could be to increase the levels by 2 so 3 (default), 5, 7, 9 or 10.

I'm definitely for deletion. A lot are just never going to be worth building. Categorizing or separating from normal schems would also be nice for the remaining ones but being able to delete the ones we don't want is definitely a feature I would be interested in.

Thought struck me, what about an option to 'Sell off a Schematic. (NPC) for a % of its retail value. All of Bobs schems are based of real schems with an modifier, so they have a base value....

This would allow you to gain form your loss so to speak ;) They could be sold to a CAMP NPC and also gain you CAMP tokens.
