My paranoia returns

I just saw the Gus Givens report on the new living exploding crystals. Kind of hard to miss with it being the main barroom topic today.

I must admit that I'm scared.

Pearl and her pearlites are still out there. Eating this stuff. Do we need exploding pearlites? Will pearl find a way to incorporate the crystal form of replication into her own body and create a mate?

Barkeep, I'm still blabbering, you let my glass get empty. I don't think I want to see another asteroid again.

Oh, I keep forgetting about Pearl...

So far, she's been eating dark matter resources, the AI-UN resources, and now new AI minerals are becoming stable...

So if Pearl absorbs material into herself and passes it on to her children, and the AI are sentient metallic/crystalline processors, doesn't having a few Pearlites gain access to an AI wreck mean they could suddenly become hyper-intelligent and even more foul tempered?

The solution is simple, gentleman:

Pearl would try to eat you. She would then use the Great and Glorious Captain Rexx to rebuild her own being.

That can lead to two terrifying outcomes.

The first is that Pearl becomes Pearlescent Rexx. The universe would be doomed.

The second is that Pearl and the Children of Pearl become infused with Rexx and, overwhelmed by that which is Rexx, would *become* Rexx. Rexx would be everywhere, chewing on everyone's ships. The universe would be doomed.
