Yeah, can't tell you how many times I've hypnotized myself rescanning like that! I usually scan, ctrl-f and search for the name of the ship, and then rescan. I would love a segment of the game that can ONLY be played by sound. Choosing option based on sound, something like that. But I'm weird like that.

Or instead of mini games, treats that can be manufactured/collected and fed to yur buddy.

How about little mini-games (checkers, chess, card game) that you can play with your buddy before mining/salvaging/etc. that temporarily raises their "hit" rate. It would be pretty cool to be able to get their hit rate as high as 50%... or something.
