I have found them in Furnace, The Forge, and VP, so I think Anvil is a safe assumption.
The materials I was having trouble finding in Sphere I was still having trouble finding in VP. So, my guess is it's "everything everywhere", but that would need confirmation.

Re: All this U.A. stuff
Mining seems to produce well for me. I've noticed that I've nearly stopped getting AI materials during salvaging, though. Salvaging used to have decent results, but now it seems like mining is the main production method.

Re: Aestroid Collision (Miners version of raid)
Thank you for stepping in! It's pretty cool when the the founder steps in. Granted, not as cool as a visit from the Great and Glorious Captain Rexx Shredd, but Coops, you're a really strong second! (All quotes below are from Coops.) I 'normally' keep my oar out of discussions, but in this case...

Quick salvaging question
This is a technical question. If you have a wreck extender, and are in a busy area, is the distribution of the age of the wrecks you find flat, weighted to new, or weighted to old? Edit: If I can see ten wrecks at a time going back up to 50 hours, will I see wrecks of all ages (flat), more old wreck...

Re: Aestroid Collision (Miners version of raid)
YEA! Something new for the miners! Also maybe crashing into player's settlement is good for the game's economy! they owners (high level rich players) can pay other player (potentially poor players) to help them mine and destroy the asteroids! To be clear, the original idea is not mine. I really don...

Re: Aestroid Collision (Miners version of raid)
I like the idea, even if it doesn't damage a settlement. Perhaps the comet could affect NPC settlements rather than players.
Even so, the idea of randomly appearing "rare loot" mining spots is cool.

Re: And also on Salvaging
Would be nice if critical hit give resources from that area, but one or two Salvage levels higher. It could be useful for scouting. Any device increasing loot amount in expanse would be instant bestseller... I agree with the critical idea. As to the second, perhaps just make it a CES item: Hephaest...

Re: Ribblez daycare
I would. I had my rabble of ribbelz exterminated yesterday. If not daycare, perhaps a cryogenically frozen ribbelz? Or just freeze-dried? A schematic for... 1 ribbelz, some traylon gas, some biogenetic ore, and perhaps a couple sub-components? And I would love to see a graphic of some annoyed ribbel...

And also on Salvaging
King David beat me to the idea of salvage missions, but there was another idea I had, and now two. The new one relates to combat. There is an account update that gives a chance of getting a "critical" on a combat loot scan. Perhaps there could be a similar "critical" for salvage ...

Re: UA minerals&metals ref/foundrys
I can confirm that mining and salvage (of AI ships) are where you generally find them, though I did not pay attention to mineral vs. metal.pikolinianita wrote:Metals/minerals are from mining.
Gemstones from Salvage (maybe other Activities too, Don't know)
They are rare, though.
