Combat Methodolgy

Combat missions take the following format :
Go to a given location : This will not ALWAYS be obvious; for example, on higher paid missions it may be ambiguous or perhaps the NPC does not know where the target is.
The NPC will always give you clues or an indication of where to start your hunt. So please READ the mission log carefully.
The second part is WHAT you are asked to track and kill : These will be named ship types. You can see in the scan list that the names must match the target ship class.
Checking Mission Progress : Once you have killed one of your intended targets, check your mission progress via the "Active NPC Missions" drop down on the right. You will notice this shows the amount of kills and required kills.
If this has NOT gone up by one, then the ship you have just destroyed was NOT one of the intended targets.
This is likely to be only for one of two reasons : You are NOT in the correct location OR the ship you destroyed was NOT the correct class / named ship.
General Notes : Most of the time a specific location will be mentioned or outlined in a mission NPC message. But from time to time they may tell you to hunt in "several locations". Again using the information above if you hunt in one location, kill the correct ship class, and the mission doesn't increment, then you can be sure that it
