Buddy mini games?

How about little mini-games (checkers, chess, card game) that you can play with your buddy before mining/salvaging/etc. that temporarily raises their "hit" rate. It would be pretty cool to be able to get their hit rate as high as 50%... or something.

Or instead of mini games, treats that can be manufactured/collected and fed to yur buddy.

Oh, and we should be able to give them personal names! Name your own buddy!
