Am I just supposed to joke around, or do you want a serious response? I mean... obviously it's Prev. The entire last system. It's just Prev.
But if you want to know what it actually is - no matter what Coops now scrambles and codes to be there instead - it's the Naristro/Javoran nursery planets.
There's this whole big to do about the "Javorans are our enemy" and whatnot, but the Naristro - despite having and fielding massive warships - CLAIM they are too pacifistic to do anything about it and ban us from doing things that could actually end the war. They wield us as a blunt weapon against the Javorans, yet purposely hamstring our efforts to fight. Why?
It's because the Javorans are not the Naristro's enemy. The Javorans ARE the Naristro. Specifically, the Javorans are the children of the Naristro. Like many species, the young of the Naristro are biologically different than adult Naristro. Think of it as a tadpole / frog sort of thing. The Javorans are the pupal form of the species. As they age they eventually morph into their adult Naristro form. But Naristro breed in massive litters and have no real... "predators," for lack of a better term. Because of this, they suffer from crushing overpopulation, even as a space-faring, galaxy-spanning species.
To combat this overpopulation, the Naristro cull their young. Javorans are forced to compete against each other and only the strongest, smartest, most successful are allowed to "mature" into adult Naristro. Towards this end, the Naristro use the pesky, unwelcome human invaders as a means of weeding out the weak among their children. Javorans are supplied with obsolete tech and sent against us in waves to prove themselves. Those who survive combat with us earn the right to become Naristro. Those who don't? They were too weak. They weren't worthy of maturing and joining the adult population anyway. Humans die while they learn how to kill us better, and Naristro population stabilizes, it's a win-win.
We're being used by the Naristro as population control for their young. When we reach the core systems - when we find out the truth - THAT is when the true war against the aliens will start. Not against the weak, untested, under-supplied Javorans with their hats on backwards and their baggy pants half pulled down and their cellular telephones, but against big daddy Naristro and their actual, overpowering military might.
