would it be possible to do things on that last breath? like say i started hacking and didn't realize i was on my last breath...

But doing actions without oxygen would hurt your health or stamina...

Sounds like a real catch-22.
I run into the same issue, jcheung. I try to keep an eye on the O2 level as much as possible, but it is sometimes impossible.
I am surprised that the A.I. does not give a 3-unit warning on the O2 level. That may be a more doable fix for the issue described, especially since it already exists in the mining/fuel-use system.
