Project Next Step Moves on

Post by Gus Givens »

Gun Givens here with the latest news on Project Next Step.

You will recall that nearly three years ago 32 scientists and engineers were tasked to investigate the feasibility of settlements in the Expanse. Their goal was to see if the Expanse and its many 'eccentricities' would allow for settlements to be deployed safely and operate within nominal settings in the Expanse. The Cargo Ship Tangier was destined to arrive in the Expanse and drop off her expensive and much needed cargo to the ‘Next Step’ Project when she was attacked by Pirates en-route.

The attack was poorly planned and the cargo vessel was hit just as she entered the Jump Gate system. Similar to an event that led to the scattering of many 1000 DCF fragments across the known Galaxies.

Well today the collection of all those missing crates has been completed. The last items were dropped off and the Project Next Step Management company has made a final XP payment to those captains involved.

P.N.S Stage 2
With all the equipment returned to the scientists they can now get down to the work they were sent there for. Stage 2 is now under-way and the Coalition council have given the project another injection of cash to get them started.

Lt Lutac Quire has been tasked with looking after stage two which is a rolling contract for all the items the scientists will need and wish to test on the Alien Expanse worlds.

Lets hope the second stage doesn't take a long as the first one..

Over to Julia with the weather in your corner of the Universe.
