Satnav 27B Offline

Thank you Mandy for that update on the weather disaster over on New Eden, where the Super Storm continues to wreck havoc on the planets inhabitants. Meanwhile...

I'm Gus Givens here at the ISN News desk bringing you the very latest from around the Six Galaxies.

In today's top headline story we look deeper into the disappearance of Satnav 27B and the image many are calling a hoax. The image was snapped shortly before it mysteriously went off-line. Satnav 27B is one of hundreds of navigation beacons seeded throughout the Galaxies enabling Captains to safely navigate the systems. Many of these are original TT version 4.0 Satnavs left over from the initial seeding that took place many hundreds of years ago.

Satnav 27B is located near the Nebula in the Kinbal system in Verec-Per. Earlier today the satnav sent back an image from its daily system scans that first scared the hell out of the operator back on Leyrn, where the data is filtered, then passed on for updating Galactic star-charts.

The images (now showing at the bottom of your screens) appears to be of a fleet of ships exiting from the Nebula itself. Shortly after the picture was snapped the Satnav stopped responding and no one has been able to communicate with it since.

Several science and military advisor who we contacted on this story have said that the picture is an obvious fake and that there is nothing for the inhabitants of the Kinbal system to worry about.

In fact a Verecian survey & repair ship has been dispatched to review the situation and report back on the status of Satnav 27B.

Mean while we had our own digital forensic specialists look at the image, and they say that they are certain the image is original and has not been tampered with. We have sent our own news crews to Kinbal to find out more on this story.

And now back to Mandy on the weather desk...
