Union Slammed for Price Fixing!

Post by Gus Givens »

A four month undercover investigation by the Bureau of Fair Trade came to a head yesterday. Their findings were passed on to the enforcement division of the Fair Trade group and in turn they have imposed large fines on the Union passengers conglomerate.

It seems that price-fixing has been rife amongst the ticket offices that the Union uses. Along with the fine were orders to their offices to allow discounted tickets to passengers. This move will mean that from now on when a passenger is dropped off at their location and looks for their next port of call that they will be offered a wider range of pricing on a ticket. The choice is then theirs to choose the best deal.

For Union haulers this means they will begin to see passengers for the same destination for different prices within the same ticket class ranges. For the passengers it means a better deal all round.

Union have stated they will happily pay the fines and have ordered their offices galaxy-wide to co-operate with the new legislation. They have also registered for licences to open a new series of Mission Offices in various key locations. The Bureau of Fair Trade is said to be considering their application.
