Combat Buddy First Impressions

Post by Holiday » Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:58 pm

So I recently bought a combat buddy and have been tracking what it is finding. It has been a bit of a disappointment so far. Today I've killed roughly 250 ships for just under 1 million XP. After that chunk of combat it has found resources twice for a total of 80, 39 the first time and 41 the second time. It appears to be based on the amount of ships you kill not the xp you get from the kills. This is making me wonder if others have had this issue as well. It seems that unless you only kill small ships as fast as possible it isn't worth it. If this is the case it is a really big letdown for those of us who do combat for the xp.

Is anyone else using a combat buddy and have they noticed the same? I was expecting something more reasonable, and something that might be a little more worth it, but like I said I do combat for the xp not for harvesting large amounts of resources so I'm not killing large amounts of ships. I've always killed less ships, but bigger ones as it is the most fuel beneficial and quickest way to grab some XP. Sadly this seems to be the worst way to do combat if you use a buddy…so I'm a bit at a loss so far and have been wondering what others have to say about their experiences.
